Act I Scene III

It is said that the unspoken conflict in Macbeth is between free will and predestination; the subtle part of this study is the contrast of Macbeth and Banquo. Before responding, consider the witches and their affect on each character, how each character initially responds, how each character responds to their environment from thereafter, and what makes this conflict 'unspoken'. Question: Explain how free will and predestination shape a major unspoken conflict in Macbeth

Free Will and Predestination reflects the conflicts between the ghost and Macbeth. The ghost tell Macbeth he should be next in line to be king. But Duncan gets choosen to be king instead of Macbeth. So Macbeth believed the ghost and still wants to become king and get rid of Duncan as king. This shows free will and predestination by Macbeth believing what the ghost have said, and by how it was predestined for Duncan to become king.

Macbeth pretty much thrives to become what the witches told him to become. He's ambitious to believe the witches and become more anxious by what the witches tell him, instead of waiting along for the crown.

While reading macbeth , i have learned many things about free will and predestination. The object of free will is what society is raised upon and the fact that people can do what they want. The fact that the witches entered themselves into the play, and use a predestination on what macbeth shall do is going to be a major part in this story and we will soon see what happens.

Free will and predestination shape a major unspoken conflict in Macbeth. The witc hes predestiantion of Macbeth and banquero causes alot of problems. Banquero is a little unsure but Macbeth takes it serious. Macbeth also gets greddy and wants to be crowned king now. So macbeth begins to act on his own free will in order to make what he wants happen. Unlike macbeth Banquero just lets what is going to happen happen and if it doesnt its not going to effect him because he comes from a powerfull family.

I HAVEN'T BEEN HERE FOR MOST OF THE BOOK, BUT IF I HAD TO TALK ABOUT FREE WILL VS, PREDESTINATION I WOULD START OF BY WONDERING WHICH ONE IS BETTER? PREDESTINATION IS THEOLOGY THAT THINGS WILL HAPPEN BY GOD, AND FREE WILL IS HAVING A CHOICE TO DO THINGS. FREE WILL IS THE ABALITY TO DO THINGS WHEN YOU WANT AND HOWEVER YOU WANT. SOME WULD SAY FREE WILL IS A GIFT GUVEN TO MAN THAT ALLOWS THEM TO MAKE UP THEIR MINDS BASED ON STIMULATIONS AND TEMTATIONS OF THE WORLD AROUND THEM. I THINK WHATEVER GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOU IS WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN.
